The Advisory Board is a dedicated group of women committed to the growth and sustainability of The Intention Co. Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the Advisory Board is to determine the organizational direction, provide administrative oversight, and maintain accountability to The Fund's guiding principles. 

 
Amiya Powell - Hodge | Owner & Founder

Amiya Powell - Hodge | Owner & Founder

Amiya was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She spent a considerable amount of time in the Bay Area where she received both her B.A. and M.A. studying Humanities and Education. She enjoys the comforts of home but has a spirit for adventure. Connecting people through food and community is a passion of Amiya's, and she loves testing out Chrissy Teigen recipes on her friends and students. Amiya spends her free-time conceptualizing DIY projects, riding her bike, educating herself about real estate principles, and finding unique ways to explore the world while traveling.

Amiya is a dedicated student affairs professional and enjoys mentoring young adults as they discover their voice and talents. She holds a strong commitment to equity, justice, and seeing God in all things. She is the proud owner and founder of The Intention Co., LLC, a platform she created with the hopes of encouraging a connection between intention, reflection, and action.

Leighia Fleming | Fundraising

Leighia is a Southern California native who is passionate about education, sports, and traveling. She is a graduate of Dominican University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and received her M.A. from the University of San Francisco in Organizations and Leadership. Leighia values giving a voice and healing to survivors of sexual trauma and domestic violence and is currently working on a certification to become a Rape Crisis Counselor for the state of CA. When she is not working, she enjoys playing pick up softball games, planning her next vacation to the furthest body of water, and reading romance novels.

Allison Kendrix | Content Creation

Allison is an educator, public speaker and creative from the Sacramento Area. She has worked in higher education for the past 6 years in San Diego, CA and Colorado Springs, CO, focusing primarily on student development. She has been asked to curate and participate in public speaking engagements, workshops, and podcasts surrounding the impact of race, faith, sexuality, and media in various communities. This year, she will be taking on more creative projects with friends and fellow artists looking to have a long term impact on Black, queer and faith communities.

Jessica Frazier | Herstorian

Jessica is a Bay Area native from Hayward, CA. After receiving her B.A. from Dominican University of California she went on to receive her M.A. from the University of San Francisco. She continues to serve her community in Higher Education.  She is passionate about the joy and community that black people create for each other, especially the support systems developed by black womxn.

As a woman of faith, she believes seeing others through the eyes of God guides her pursuit of dignity for the most marginalized, inclusion, and justice. Jessica loves her vegetable garden, good fellowship, being out and about, cooking for others, dogs, bike rides, and any reason to use her passport.
