INTENTION SETTING
Pushing ourselves towards a new way of thinking is an act of self-love. At its core, intention setting is the act of articulating what we intend to accomplish through our actions. It's a commitment to what we want the journey to be. Intentions help us direct our focus towards who we are and who we want to be during a specific moment in our lives.
DEFINE YOUR INTENTIONS
Figure out the focus. What type of vibe do you want to set? What are you trying to accomplish? What is your aim?
WRITE IT DOWN
Writing our thoughts, feelings, and actions is a reflection tool that guides us in articulating what we mean. It clarifies our thoughts as well as keeps record of our growth.
BE VULNERABLE
Vulnerability is consciously choosing to NOT hide your emotions or desires. Be vulnerable with yourself and honestly express your thoughts and feelings. It does not serve us to be dishonest with ourselves.
SHOW UP FOR YOURSELF
Showing up for ourselves is sometimes the hardest part of intention setting. Make a commitment to yourself by not only setting an intention, but meeting it with action.
MAKE IT A HABIT
Habits are regular practices that establish a pattern of behavior. They make it possible for us to do things without spending exorbitant mental effort. Make it a habit to set a daily intention.
SHARE IT
While some intentions are personal, it helps to share our commitments with others. Expressing our intentions helps establish a sense of accountability and allows others to support our desires.
